						<description><![CDATA[11th Grade students will be taking the SAT at AHS on April 18th. Students received SAT information in Advisory on Wednesday, February 8th. The SAT will be free, but students still need to register online. Directions for online registration are attached. Students who do not register by Wednesday, February 22nd will meet with his/her counselor during school to register. If your child already has a College Board account, but cannot remember the login information, please contact College Board at (866) 756-7346. AHS does not have access to your child's College Board accounts. Please contact your child's counselor if you have any additional questions or concerns.]]></description>

						<description><![CDATA[The AHS School Bank is up and running again for the school year! As you have probably heard we have converted to M&T Bank from our previous Wilmington Trust supporters. Our first event that will lead up to our grand opening will be on Wednesday, September 28th in the Cat Café during all student lunches. Students are welcomed to come and open an account, and in turn receive giveaways, and refreshments. Please be sure to bring two things with you to the event if you are interested in opening an account: a form of ID (driver’s license or student ID), and your social security number. All students who open an account will also be entered in a raffle for a variety of local area businesses’ gift cards. Savings accounts (open to any age) as well as checking accounts (16 years old minimum with parent consent) are available; please stop by for more information at the event. <br><br>We will have our bank grand opening, where deposits and withdrawals can be made that same week on Friday, September 30th. 						<description><![CDATA[9th Grade Course Selection information is now available. Mrs. Statham visited Waters MS on March 23rd and Redding & Meredith MS on March 25th to present scheduling information. 8th grade students also received their course selection sheets and a course catalog. AHS counselors will return to the middle schools to meet with students individually to review their course selections. Counselors will be at Meredith MS on Monday 4/4, Redding MS on Tuesday 4/5, and Waters MS on Wednesday 4/6. Students should bring thier completed course selection forms on the day of their scheduled visit.<br><br>On March 3rd, during Advisory, students received course selection information for the 2011-2012 school year. Students were asked to take this information home to review and complete with parents/guardians. Counselors will be meeting with students individually, through English and Social Studies classes, from March 7th to March 18th. Students should bring their completed course selection sheets and questions when they meet with their counselor. The course catalog, course selection sheets, scheduling dates, and the scheduling presentation are attached.
