Appoquinimink High School is pleased to announce that it will join the Jefferson Awards Students in Action program this school year to recognize our outstanding service students who make a difference in the community through volunteerism. This national program is dedicated to promoting volutneerism among youth, celebrating our oustanding student volunteers, developing student leaders, and promoting a culture of volunteerism within our school. Our Student Leaders along with Faculty Coordinator Andrew Shatley, Principal Gayle Rutter, and volunteer leadership coaches Megan Wakelee and Courtney Mogavero meet on a monthly basis to review nominations, track service hours, and create new service projects for our school.
